Fashion Week has always been about the spectacle. The shows, the clothes, the inevitable street style photographers. But what if it could also be about something more substantial?
That was the promise of EcoLuxe London, a not-for-profit exhibition that carved out space during Fashion Week for brands actually thinking about sustainability. Not greenwashing. Not marketing speak. Real consideration of supply chains, materials, and what luxury means when you're not destroying the planet to achieve it.
At One Aldwych Hotel, 26 ethical fashion and accessory brands showed that sustainable doesn't mean scratchy hemp sacks. These were proper luxury pieces, made by people who understood that true quality means considering where your materials come from and who makes them.
We were there too, tucking our Feather Canyon into the goodie bags. Because sustainable fashion and sustainable skincare come from the same place: the belief that you shouldn't have to compromise your values for quality. Or your skin for results.
The fashion industry gets a lot of stick for being superficial. Fair enough. But events like EcoLuxe showed what happens when brands stop treating sustainability as a trend and start treating it as the foundation. Same goes for skincare. Certified organic isn't a marketing angle for us. It's the starting point.
