In 2015, we contributed to an extraordinary baby shower for thirty military mums-to-be in Italy. Glam4Good, the non-profit organisation founded by fashion powerhouse Mary Alice Stephenson, organised the surprise event.
These women arrived expecting a round table discussion on military life. Instead, Michelle Obama hosted a full celebration. Mary Alice and her team transformed it into a celebration complete with designer clothing, baby essentials, and natural skincare. Our US stockist at the time helped ensure Pai's gentle, pregnancy-safe products were part of these special care packages.
What struck us most was Michelle Obama's words to these mothers: "You guys are getting some special things because we want you to know that we've got your back while you're going through this part of your lives." That's exactly why we formulate the way we do. Safe for pregnancy, gentle for sensitive skin, effective enough that using them feels like someone's got your back.
Mary Alice Stephenson's Glam4Good continues to make an extraordinary impact. The organisation has now distributed over $75 million worth of clothing and personal care items to more than 170,000 people across America, from disaster survivors to foster children to veterans in need. Just this year, they donated $4.6 million worth of essentials to victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.
