Why You'll Love It

Pregnant skin's elastic waistband.

A fragrance-free stretch mark duo — one oil, one cream — designed to help skin stretch generously and bounce back fully, through pregnancy and beyond.

Skin that's growing fast needs more than wishful thinking to stretch comfortably and without scarring. Think of this as a true two-step routine, not a duo for the sake of it. The daytime cream pushes hydration into skin that's pulling taut, holding onto the suppleness it relies on. The nighttime oil takes over for deep lipid work, feeding the dermis bioactive fatty acids that back up collagen and elastin while you sleep.

Pomegranate Seed CO2 Extract shows up in both formulas, bringing the rare omega-5 known as punicic acid. It helps shield your skin's structural proteins against the kind of breakdown that happens when tissue stretches quickly.

Camellia Oil leads the oil formula as its primary carrier, picked because it actively encourages collagen synthesis and works to slow its breakdown at the same time. Pumpkin Seed Oil threads through both products as well, bringing phytosterols and linoleic acid that your skin draws on to stay elastic.

Pregnancy-safe from day one, The Gemini contains zero essential oils, zero fragrance, and no other irritants you'd want to steer clear of right now. No need to second-guess which oils are okay in which trimester. One system carries you across all three, into breastfeeding, and stays gentle enough to use on an infant's skin.

Directions

Morning — Cream: Massage into clean, dry skin in circular motions until fully absorbed. Concentrate on the areas doing the heavy lifting: belly, breasts, hips, thighs, and lower back. This is your hydration layer, keeping skin supple and pliable through the day.

Evening — Oil: Smooth onto clean, dry skin with the same circular motions. The oil is built for overnight wear, giving those omega-rich actives the extended contact time they need to work while you sleep.

For best results, use both consistently throughout all three trimesters and into postpartum recovery. Both are safe from the first trimester on, during breastfeeding, and gentle enough for infant skin too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The Gemini safe to use throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes, both the oil and cream are safe from the first trimester onwards and during breastfeeding. Unlike most stretch mark products, The Gemini contains zero essential oils and zero fragrance, which removes the safety uncertainty that comes with ingredients like lavender, neroli, or frankincense during pregnancy. The formula is also gentle enough for use on infant skin.

How do I use The Gemini Stretch Mark System?

Apply the cream each morning and the oil each evening, both to clean, dry skin using circular motions until absorbed. Focus on areas prone to stretching: abdomen, breasts, thighs, hips, and lower back. For best results, use both products consistently throughout all three trimesters and continue postpartum.

What skin types is The Gemini suitable for?

All skin types, including sensitive and eczema-prone skin. The formula is free from fragrance, essential oils, parabens, silicones, sulfates, alcohol, and 18+ other common irritants. Every Pai product is independently patch tested and dermatologist tested and approved, so even highly reactive skin can use it with confidence.

Is The Gemini certified organic?

Yes. Both products are COSMOS certified organic by the Soil Association, with over 70% organic ingredients (excluding water). The system is also certified vegan by The Vegan Society and cruelty-free under the Leaping Bunny programme.

What is omega-5 punicic acid and why does it matter for stretch marks?

Punicic acid is a conjugated fatty acid found almost exclusively in pomegranate seed. What makes it relevant to stretch marks is its specific mechanism: it directly inhibits collagenase and elastase, the two enzymes responsible for breaking down collagen and elastin fibres when skin is under stretch. It also stimulates keratinocyte proliferation, which thickens the epidermis and improves skin resilience. You won't find it in common stretch mark ingredients like sweet almond, argan, or centella.

What does pumpkin seed oil do for stretch marks?

Pumpkin seed oil brings three things stretch-prone skin needs: linoleic acid for barrier function, beta-sitosterol (a phytosterol that promotes fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis), and vitamin E at 280 ppm for antioxidant protection. In a peer-reviewed wound healing study, topically applied pumpkin seed oil produced full re-epithelialisation with well-organised collagen fibre formation compared to untreated controls (PMC4827242).

Why does The Gemini use CO2-extracted oils instead of cold-pressed?

CO2 supercritical extraction operates at around 30°C in an oxygen-free environment, preserving heat-sensitive compounds like punicic acid and carotenoids at concentrations cold pressing simply can't match. Cold-pressed pomegranate oil starts oxidising from the moment it's extracted, so CO2 extraction gives you a more potent, more stable active in the final product.

What clinical evidence supports the key ingredients in The Gemini?

A clinical study on 20 volunteers found that topical pomegranate seed oil increased dermis thickness by 14.85%, skin hydration by 30.32%, and elasticity by 9.75% after just 6 weeks, with ultrasonographic imaging showing striae becoming less defined. Separately, peer-reviewed research confirms camellia oil induces type I procollagen synthesis and suppresses MMP-1, the enzyme responsible for collagen breakdown.

What makes The Gemini different from other stretch mark oils and creams?

Most stretch mark products are a single formula asked to do two jobs. The Gemini splits them: the evening oil delivers intensive lipid conditioning led by camellia oil (which actively stimulates procollagen synthesis), while the morning cream drives hydration with shea butter and glycerin to keep skin pliable under stretch. It also covers five omega families (3, 5, 6, 7, and 9) across both products, a breadth you won't find in standard stretch mark oils based on sweet almond, centella, or argan.

Reviews

Loved it

"I have been focusing on removing as many ingredients as I can from my skincare products. I typically use tallow lotion, but that just wasn’t cutting it while I was pregnant and all stretched out. This duo helped keep my skin hydrated and not itchy. I don’t believe I got any new stretch marks during this pregnancy, but it was my third so not sure if it was the skincare or just having the previous stretch marks to allow more room. Highly recommend the product for anyone looking to reduce ingredients and still feel hydrated."

"My sister bought me this for my baby shower and I have been using it from about 28 weeks pregnant. The cream and oil are both really nice and make my bump feel really hydrated. Currently 36 weeks and no stretch marks 🤞"

So happy to have found

"So happy to have found The Gemini products to use during pregnancy! I love that there is both a cream and oil to use day/night. I have quite dry skin that had been getting quite itchy but that has all gone now since using these products for a few weeks daily. They both feel very nourishing and luxurious and I love that they don't have a strong perfumed scent. I'm 28 weeks along and so far no signs of stretch marks!"

Rosa B. (5/5)

Great!

"I am using this duo of oil/lotion for the second time! I experienced no stretch marks with my first daughter, and hoping the same this pregnancy. I find the subtle natural scent to be nice, and the product massages in to my skin really well. I love this little bit of self care while expecting."

Q&A

I noticed that lactic acid is in the list of ingredients. Would be curious to know the concentration of lactic acid in these products (want to know as I am currently pregnant). Thanks!
Hi Sis! The Lactic Acid is included in trace amounts to balance the PH levels and is suitable for use during pregnancy. We hope this helps! Pai Customer Experience Team
Est-ce que cette crème et huile peuvent être utilisées pour un bébé de 1 an ?
Bonjour Laila, Cette crème est spécifiquement destinée aux vergetures. Nos produits sont valables 3 ans et plus. Équipe Expérience Client Pai
What is the vitamine A concentration in the oil and in the cream? I am wondering because of pregnancy concerns because I read rosehip oil contains not only betacarotene but also trans retinoid acid. And the latter one is not safe in pregnancy.
Hi Ana, This is not something we have analysed due to the concentration being trace amounts. Our products are safe to use during pregnancy, we only recommend not to use Viper's Gloss due to the Basil Oil. Pai Customer Experience Team
Hi, I have purchased the Gemini two times now. In the first set the cream was very thick and darker in color, in the set I got recently the consistency of the cream is a lot thinner and lighter in color, almost white. Was the cream reformulated or did I receive a bad product?
Hi Christina, Thank you for getting in touch. I have emailed you for more details to look into this for you. Customer Experience Team Member
